My Philosophy
Every family, couple, human being is unique. I want to photograph your essential selves. I am not looking for perfect smiles or perfect poses. I am looking for the little kisses between mother and child, silly gestures your kiddos make, your dogs making you laugh, the unique games you play to make your baby giggle, you just being you.
Some of my favorite sessions to photograph are a day in the life where we capture you completely being yourselves at home: playing music, dancing, snuggling on the sofa, watering plants with the kids. My portrait sessions are relaxed and involve lots of silliness, snuggles and laughs.
I will guide you into moments and give direction but I am always looking for the little in-betweens. You are my inspiration and I am so excited to capture all of your love for eachother.

A collaborative, creative session centered around capturing who you are as a family. Each session is thoughtfully curated to your lives and rhythms, and designed to become an heirloom your children will return to as they grow.
This is not a quick session. It’s about sinking into your everyday - like making pancakes in the morning, playing your favorite records, chasing your kids in the yard, and leaning into imaginative play. The magic lives in the ordinary moments.
I photograph these sessions using both film and digital. The two-hour timeframe allows space to settle in, for your kiddos to feel comfortable, and for the story to unfold naturally. It also gives us time to move through your home or favorite spaces, letting all the little pieces of your lives reveal themselves.
If you have ideas that feel expansive or would benefit from more time, additional coverage can be added to create a fully custom session.

A creative session centered entirely around you. Who you are as a woman and who you are becoming as a mother. It is a rare pause in time and a chance to celebrate yourself in all your power, softness, and transformation.
We will play your favorite music, lean into your personal style, and create space to experiment. You can show up in your most elaborate outfit, your favorite dress, or simply your underwear. Whatever feels most like you. Sessions may include flowers, disco balls, shadow play, natural light studio backdrops, or a blend of studio and nature, depending on your vibe.
Each maternity session is fully custom and thoughtfully designed to reflect your individuality. The extended session length allows time to play dress up, explore multiple looks, and create without rushing. Styling guidance, outfit sourcing ideas, and hair and makeup artist recommendations are available upon request.

This collection includes two sessions: a 2 hour studio maternity session and a 2 hour lifestyle newborn session.
Your maternity session will take place at Amber's natural light studio and will incorporate a mix of outfits of your choosing (Amber can help style you too!). This session is all about MOTHER, let's celebrate the woman you are and the mother you are becoming. Bring your partner for part of it too!
Amber uses a mix of 35mm film, digital and polaroids to delivery a nostalgic and thoughtful experience for her clients.

Psychedelic film sessions are for the wild and free at heart. For those who carry summer in their souls and believe some moments deserve to live forever in technicolor.
Rooted in nostalgia, these sessions are inspired by vintage film and sun-faded Polaroids, where imperfection is part of the magic. Every roll turns out differently, making your images entirely one of a kind. Shot intentionally in bright midday light, the colors bloom and the skies stretch wide as you run, splash, leap, and play. The result is bold, painterly imagery that feels timeless, expressive, and unmistakably yours.
