Unlike most sessions that happen at golden hour, psychedelic film loves bright midday sun. The colors explode, the light shifts dramatically, and the results are anything but predictable. I'll get low and shoot toward endless blue skies while you run, leap, splash, and spin like time doesn't exist. Because in these frames, it doesn't.
I'll guide you at first, helping you find your rhythm, getting you comfortable with the camera, and showing you how to catch the light just right.
But once you settle in? That's when our real magic happens. I step back and let your true self take center stage, always watching for those unguarded moments when your family’s personality shines right through.
Every roll of film turns out differently, which means your photos will be as one-of-a-kind as your family.

FAQ
How many files do we get with each session and how long until delivery?
Delivery of film takes about 4 weeks for turnaround. I estimate 20+ rich colorful film files with a one hour session or 40+ files for a 2 hour session.
Do you have a list of favorite indoor & outdoor locations?
I have a few locations I love for psychedelic sessions, both outdoors and indoors. I'm happy to share my favorites!
Will you edit blemishes, cuts, etc?
I am happy to edit out minor facial blemishes or bites. More major edits will incur a fee dependent on the extent of editing required.
Do you charge a travel fee?
If the session is within 10 miles of downtown Austin, the session includes my travel. If you live outside of 10 miles of downtown Austin, I do charge a small travel fee based on the distance. Inquire and I can calculate this for you!
What is the turnaround time for images? Can we download them? How long do we have to review our images and order prints?
3-4 weeks after each session, you will receive your images. The images will be loaded in a private online gallery for you to view, order prints, framed artwork, and download images. Images are available to download as high-resolution and web-size files. You will have the personal printing right to your images so you can print them on your own as well. Your gallery will be live for 1 year.
Can I Do This As a Family Session?
Yes, that is my favorite! They're for families who understand that childhood moves like smoke, beautiful, wild, and impossible to hold onto. For parents who want to bottle up bedhead mornings and sticky-fingered hugs. For the moments when your kids are spinning in circles just because the world is spinning too, and you want to remember exactly how the light caught their hair, how their laughter echoed, how it felt to witness them being gloriously, messily, exceptionally alive.
Can I Order Prints?
These sessions are perfect for large prints. The bold colors and painterly texture make incredible statement pieces. Artwork that doesn’t just hang on your wall but lives there.
What happens if the weather is bad, or if my child isn’t in a good mood on the day of, or if there’s an illness?
If the weather is bad, we will need to reschedule your session. Psychedelic film relies on bright sunlight to be as bold as it can be, so we need a great sunny day. If we are using the psychedelic film in the studio, then the weather doesn't matter since I will be primarily using flash!
