Emilie and Reggie’s wedding at Prospect House was one for the books! From the beginning, the couple told me that they wanted their day to feel relaxed and authentically them. They wanted their photographs to reflect that goal and be very candid, so I shot with that in mind. I photographed their wedding 95% candidly and just let the day unfold—and it was the very best decision!

I loved that Emilie and Reggie focused the day around their people, rather than the details. They skipped splurging on many things people ordinarily feel they need at weddings. Instead, they focused their investment on food, photography, the band, and hosting it all in an amazing space for 150 of their favorite people. They even DIY’d their own floral arrangements from wholesale to cut costs, and they looked absolutely dreamy! To top it all off, Royal Fig did the catering, and it was delicious as always.

The all-white space provides guests with uninterrupted views of Hill Country, all while maintaining clean modern lines. I always love weddings at Prospect House because the space can morph into whatever the bride and groom want it to be. It’s the perfect modern blank slate, and Emilie and Reggie made it into a warm gathering place for their closest friends and family. Can we go back now?

Since Emilie and Reggie chose to forgo traditional bouquets, they adorned their reception with local flowers that were in season, in bright spring colors. Glittering garlands ran along the wooden tables, with hand-arranged floral centerpieces and candles scattered throughout.
