Colorful Wedding at Mattie’s Restaurant

Ameyalli and Cris’s wedding at Mattie’s Restaurant was one of the most eclectic and colorful weddings I’ve ever been to! This pair is so much fun, and their day had their personalities written all over it. Rather than falling in line with any traditions or trends, they stayed true to themselves and really let their love shine—my kind of people.

Vibrant Details for a Mattie’s Restaurant Reception

Ameyalli is an interior designer and lover of all things colorful (when I met her, she felt a bit like a soul sister!). Accordingly, colorful and quirky details featured throughout the day, making it a truly unique affair. Festive balloons in shades of hot pink, purple, and green decorated the DJ booth at the reception. Meanwhile, guests played yard games on the outdoor patio. The couple’s wedding cake was heart-shaped and topped with dozens of strawberries. Most amazingly, the night ended with a full-blown sing-along to Queen, and Ameyalli and Cris exited while enjoying their favorite breakfast sandwiches. With so many eclectic details, it couldn’t have been anyone’s wedding but theirs!

Another incredible aspect of Ameyalli and Cris’s wedding day was the inclusion of their two adorable corgis, Peggy Sue and Louie Louie, during their ceremony and portrait sessions. They even dressed for the occasion in a collar of flowers and a blue bow tie. I’m a firm believer that, when possible, you should always include your dog(s) at your wedding or portrait session! In a day already chock full of joy, the presence of the dogs managed to add even more.

I don’t know if I’ll ever stop dreaming about this incredible day celebrating Ameyalli and Criss at Mattie’s Restaurant!
