Maritza and Tim celebrated their intimate wedding at Laguna Gloria, The Contemporary Austin’s sculpture park. Wedding Ceremony at Laguna Gloria at The Contemporary Austin

Maritza and Tim celebrated their love with twenty of their closest friends and family. With such a small number, they made their wedding exactly what they wanted it to be. After the guests enjoyed some pre-ceremony cocktails, I greeted Maritza when she arrived with her dad. Following my instincts to stay behind, I captured some beautiful photos of Maritza and her dad. After years of photographing important moments, I’ve learned to trust my gut and be where the moment is unfolding!

Laguna Gloria at The Contemporary Austin is one of my favorite Austin wedding venues. The garden is overflowing with lush greenery. The blend of modern and classic sculpture art creates so many opportunities for conversation. With beautiful architecture and perfect weather, Laguna Gloria created a perfect atmosphere for Maritza and Tim’s ceremony. After the ceremony, we explored the gardens, took family photos and couples portraits, and spent time with Maritza and Tim’s three dogs! When Maritza and Tim first met, they bonded over their love of dogs. Maritza even joked that they would have their dogs sign their marriage certificate if it were legal!

Wedding Reception Lunch at Malverde in Austin, Texas

For their reception, the couple and their guests enjoyed a family-style lunch at the Malverde, the chic private dining room of La Condesa. The couple took time to talk with each of their guests and enjoy their meal together. I stayed for the first hour of their reception to capture the ambiance of the day and photograph the cake cutting!

Every moment of Maritza and Tim’s wedding day reflected who they are as a couple.
