Lee and Ian’s spring wedding at Prospect House was a gorgeous display of their design talent. These two are seriously good at what they do, and they LOVE their color (my kind of people). They envisioned a day that would be true to them with bold jewel-toned details, and made it happen! What’s more, the minimal, sunlight-soaked interior of Prospect House was the perfect backdrop for their vibrant vision.
This couple was careful to choose vendors whose work represented their striking style. Their coordinator, Bird Dog Wedding, is well known as the color queen around here. Her masterful design skills combined with their expert knowledge made for wedding magic! Remi and Gold was also an essential member of the vendor team, bringing it with some of the most inventive floral arrangements I’ve seen. From the tangerine and pink hues of Lee’s bouquet to the scarlet and purple accents adorning the ceremony arch, no color was off-limits.
In addition, the couple designed their own table numbers and invitations in a geometric style featuring shades of orange, pink, and aquamarine. Jen Krause worked off of their ideas to create reception signage that was a perfect complement! And, I could never neglect to mention the delicious and flawlessly plated food from Contigo Catering.
Besides being boldly colorful, this wedding was an intimate family affair at heart. Lee and Ian wanted to be able to spend time with everyone present, so they kept their guest list small. As a result, they were able to make their way around the room and share meaningful conversations in between dances with their adorable nieces. The love between everyone was palpable, and I had the best time sneaking around capturing sweet moments all night long.
There’s nothing like April in Austin, and this spring wedding at Prospect House takes the cake! Lee and Ian are a perfect example of a couple who stayed true to themselves throughout the wedding planning journey, and I’m so proud to have documented their love. Thinking of getting hitched here and looking for someone to capture every moment? Let’s connect!
