Lauren and Matthew hosted their intimate spring wedding at Justine’s Secret House in downtown Austin! I loved documenting the thoughtful details and candid moments of this wedding day. Lauren and Matthew did all the planning themselves, and they focused on an elevated guest experience with handwritten notes for each guest and an outstanding menu of French dishes from Justine’s Brasserie. Their unique style and attention to detail wowed their guests and made their celebration one-of-a-kind. I’m so glad I was there to capture it all!
Lauren and Matthew exchanged their vows outside, nestled in the backyard of Justine’s Secret House with a group of close loved ones. Spring was in the air, from the blooming wisteria to the bridesmaids’ vibrant, floral-patterned gowns. Lauren carried a colorful bouquet from Wild Heart Floral filled with blush roses, lavender sweet peas, and daffodils with rich burgundy and yellow accent flowers. Meanwhile, coral and ivory roses added pops of color to the climbing greenery on the wall behind the couple.
After the ceremony, I whisked Lauren and Matthew away to explore the streets of downtown Austin. Their sweet golden retriever pup came along, too! I love doing this with my couples, especially on beautiful, warm spring days like this one. They strolled through the city streets hand in hand and paused to cuddle their pup. They also brought their ceremony candles and a gorgeous vintage rug as props, which looked amazing! Then it was back to Justine’s Secret House for an outdoor cocktail hour and cozy dinner by candlelight.
Lauren and Matthew intentionally chose wedding day outfits that reflected their style instead of focusing on trends. Lauren wore a textured ballgown with a ruched bodice and oversized bow for the ceremony, while Matthew dressed in a classic black tux and garnet velvet loafers. They looked unique yet timeless! Then, for their reception outfits, they let their style shine. Lauren changed into a satin mini dress with a retro-inspired high neckline and paired it with sparkly silver ankle boots. Meanwhile, Matthew changed into an all-black suit to let his incredible silver sequin-patterned loafers take center stage.
These two did planning right by making their wedding at Justine’s Secret House a true reflection of themselves. The atmosphere was stress-free, and the spring evening made everything feel magical!
